Hey I bought the original gearshift **** and button for my automatic 1978 Z28. When I boughtthe carit had a different **** on it and I want to put thestock knobon it. Unlike the **** on there right now, thestock knobdoes not appear to have any fasteners, etc to hold it on. Can anyone tell me how to install it.

when you install it,there should be a clip that you put down the **** and let go and it should clamp on to the shaft to hold the **** in place.you will need a special pair of pliers to expand the clip to get it off

 

the button just snaps in place.there should be a metal clip on top of the shifter for the button to wedge against when pressing the button on
