headlights?
I've got a 77 camaro and I've rePlaced my headlights and there are not very bright. Is there a aftermarket headlight out there? Wut else can cause them not to be very bright. I do a lot of highway driving.

If you have a volt meter check the voltage at the lights, with the lights on. Just pull one out enough to get at the prongs and attach a volt meter, then turn them on and see what the voltage is. Might have a high resistance from a bad connection, which is pulling down the voltage.
If the voltage is OK, then you can maybe go to a set of quartz halogen lamps. They're much brighter, and will cost a lot more, but if you need lots of light they'll do the trick. I think they're around $20 ea.

I sorta figured out the problem. I went to use my heater the other day and at times when i had the heater on, the volt would read 18 volts and my light would be bright like they should be and then bounch back to around 10 volts . i dont know much about wireing.

Unplug your headlight switch and check for voltage into the switch, then jumper the plug across and see if the headlights go dim. If they still go dim, then you've got a good switch, if not it's bad.
I know this sounds simple, but is your battery checked OK? Does the problem occur regardless of whether your engine is running or not? If it's only when the engine is off, it might be the battery.

Lots of places it could have resistance, but I'd check all before randomly replacing items. Could also be at the high beam switch on the floor, as the lights go trough that in high or low. Have you tried to hit the high beams and see if it gets brighter?
