good price for early 70's 2nd gen

Default good price for early 70's 2nd gen

hey u 2nd gen guys, me and my dad are looking to split a maro(in title). We have been looking at r32 skylines but, we have never really been jdm guys,he has a 65 stang, and he helped me work on my old 79 camaro. So i ve been on the local CL and what im getting is that full asking price of a mint one is about 20 grand am i right? or is that below or under a mint 70's camaro

Depends on a few things where you live, your definition of mint , the sellers definition of mint cause you really don't know untill your looking in person. From what I see in my area ppl are asking about 20,000 for there "mint" cars but not many are selling from what I see.

If it's truly a mint early 2nd gen, then $20k seems about right. I see many for less that look great in pictures, but have some minor issues when viewed in person, or are clones of some desireable version like a Z28 or RS.
Most the nice driver 70-73 Camaros are in the $12-$16k range, and are pretty solid 10'-20' cars. Of course there are also those early 2nd gens that are way above the average minty one, with all sorts of nicely engineered changes, that will bring even higher prices than the $20k.
You may have to expand your search area to the surrounding states to find a bargain. When I check our local CL ads I rarely even see an early 2nd gen for sale.
