Is this a good buy?!
hey guys, I'm new to the forum and have always wanted a 70's camaro. I've found one on eBay for pretty cheap and might be owning it very soon. i don't know to much about these cars yet and was hoping some of you could look at this ad and tell me what you think. Much appreciated

At this time the auction is sitting under $3700. You could not build a car like that for that amount. The car looks real solid. I like the fact he included some pictures of the underneath. It is coming from Nevada so that is good. Honestly I would never buy a 2nd gen sight unseen. There could be dozens of little things that may drive you crazy. Things like door hinges my not give one guy a second thought but to pay to get hinge replaced and have a door realigned can get costly if you are paying a body shop to do it. I have seen cars one guy thought was fine the way it was and the next guy says in needs $3000 in repairs.
Keep in mind this are one of the lesser desired of the 70's Camaro.
Things I saw in the video, The exhaust has had recent repairs but only a single pipe was change, my guess would be you are going to be replacing the rest soon. The carb is not even close to being set right. When he backs up the exhaust belches out dark smoke. She is set to rich or the carb is in need of rebuild.

If it stays under $4k I think it's a fair deal. Of course you'll need to add shipping, or plan on driving it home, after a plane ticket. So need to keep that cost in mind.
