Default Gen2 Front suspension idenity

I have a 55 Chevy Pickup hot rod/custom. The previous owner identified the front clip as an "early 70's" Camaro welded on. I want to rebuild the suspension. Some of the parts are year specific so have to know the correct year before ordering them. Can anyone help me out by looking at the pic's and tell me what year it might be?

Default This to Id parts

No responses mean this is a tough one. I doubt anyone can id. these parts from your pictures. I'll say it looks A LOT like the 73 parts I just tossed. There is a reason the Second Gen's are all grouped together. Outside appearance can change BUT much of the chassis I expect to be the exact same. Check this out description/application from Global West regarding their upper a-arms.
The G-Plus tubular upper control arms from Global West Suspension are a direct replacement for 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, and 1981 Camaro applications. The powder-coated control arms are shipped assembled with ball joints, billet cross shafts, bump stops, and Del-a-lum bushings.

Their parts are actually pretty sophisticated regarding roll center and Ackerman angles which they never mention, it's just built-in. My 1970 Ford F-100 weighed 4,000. Second Gen Camaro's weigh about 3500 + - 125 or so for A/C. The reason I bring this up is tubular a-arms would work much better than stock with new bushings. To compromise you could always use bushings that are harder than stock rubber. Good luck with your truck.

I have a 1956 Chevy Cameo, that has a Camaro front clip. I just replaced the front control arms with Global west units and can get some pics of the suspension parts.

I was able to determine mine were 1979. I compared my setup to OEM suspension parts on EBAY. If you remove the tires and take pics of the control arms it will make identification much easier.

I will follow on with some pics later today.
