Default Gauge Cluster Question.

Ok you guys all know about the issue with the tabs on the gauge clusters . . . they break. Ive never even seen one with all 4 intact. What kind of fixes have you guys done to make these things whole again ?

A larger washer, or even a piece of sheetmetal made as a tab to go over the existing location. I have all 4 on mine! But a friend brought his over and I pop rivetted tabs onto the back with JB Weld under them to make new mounting tabs. It's still working great!

There is an excellent stick on Nasty for this. The jist is, use the PVC pipe caps for the material to glue on. Its in the interior swection over there. Gaugemarks has templates to cut the PVC to the right shape. PVC is the same stuff they were made from, this helps the glue bond similar materials together.

If ya want,i'll snap a pic of one with all the tabs still intact haha.A few years ago i needed a set of gauges and won them on ebay, and got lucky that all tabs were still there, but like mentioned above they wouldn't be hard to make. You could even make little metal L brackets and rivet them on.
