Default Fun day under the Camaro

Funny day under the car. Jason was bringing his rice rocket over so we could remove one of those fart cans off the exhaust and install a stock catback exhaust system again. I figured I could get up and change the oil and filter before he got there with planty of time to spare.
Got her jacked up and drained, then found NAPA had sold me the wrong filter. Off to NAPA to exchange, and got her all back together. Dropped her down refilled the oil, then while dumping the used oil into an old antifreeze jug I discovered the pan plug gasket in the bottom of my catch pan!
Had to jack the old girl up again and quickly pull the plug, install the gasket, and reinstall the plug before too much new oil ran out! Good news was I lost so little oil that it didn't even change the level! Always an adventure, even with something simple!

Ouch! That had to make you a little PO'd!
I actually was trying to figure out where I was going to drain the new oil, and what to drain it into, so I could install the plug and gasket again. Then I had one of those DUH moments when I realised I could probably pull the plug quick enough to install the gasket and not lose much oil!
I'd have felt pretty stupid waiting for it to all drain, only to pour it back in again! ;(

You think quicker than I do. I would have had it half drained before I decided to put the plug back in.

Probably not; I just got lucky this time! Even a blind pig finds an occasional acorn!
