Default Fuel problem?

I have a 70 SS 350. Car runs and idles well. At cold start I have to crank for about 2 minutes and car starts and goes to steady idle. I can drive or turn off to work. After that car starts immediately for the rest of the day. If I come back next day same sequence, 1st start 2 minutes or so and then immediate start the rest of the day. I see no leaks. Any suggestions on where to start? Car is totally stock w 300hp engine 4brl. Thanks

Either your choke is not working or our fuel bowl is some how losing fuel. My guess is choke. First thing in the morning with the air filter off look down the carb and pump throttle. Two things should happen. One your accelerator pump should spray fuel into the motor and your choke should close. You are pumping the gas before you try to start the car?

Smile Cold Carb

When I looked at it the other day. I saw the flap close off the back 2 uh? Throttle bodies? Not sure of the term Its a 4 Barrel carb so do I reference them as Barrels? Anyway, I didn't see any spray. I have never dealt with a 4 barrel carb so I wasn't sure what to see and I'm leery about being under the hood when my wife is at the gas pedal. I tried it 2 ways, owners man says pump once and let off slow. That didn't do diddley, so I pump it not real fast but constant until it starts. I haven't heard So if I am getting no spray at start, Do you think it is a float bowl issue or accel pump? When I look at the carb in the morn before start is there a way to check float bowl without taking it all apart? Thank you for your comments. My other Camaro is a 307 with a teeney 2 barrel. Easy to fix.
