Hey every the weeks half way over . Ok the camaro is in better shape than I was expecting after a good wash and some wax believe it or not she still has some shine I cant wait to detail her this weekend and see how good she comes out. However On the down side she does have some big oil leaks and her gas tank is full of 6 mouth old fuel. She has been sitting for some time and it show[>:]s. However other than the oil pressure issue she runs strong. This Saturday I am reserving some shop time and plan on replacing the front break lines, oil pan gasket, water pump gasket, timing chain cover seal, and the valve cover gasket. At this time I am also going to change ALL OF THE FLUIDS. My question what do you recommend for a mild street car. The car might see some track time one day but for now I am just trying to get her legs back under her. I have no problem spending the money for good fluids but was wondering what you all would recommend.

PS: still working on the idle and pressure issues.[:@]

Just stick to quality brand name stuff. IE: valvoline, pennzoil, castrol, etc.

in most cases oil is oil (unless syn) atf is atf (automatic transmission fluid) gear oil is gear oil. most of its the same. i work at an auto parts store. all of its the same except the weight and viscosity. 10-30 castrol is the same as 10-30 valvoline. just differnt bottle. the only fluid that is a lil diff. is coolant u can get that 50/50 stuff . i dont use it. but the convienence is that if u need antifreeze have a pre mix anti freeze u can put it as opposed to having to find water. but almost all fluids are the same with exceptions to the weight and viscosity numbers on the bottle.

get what im sayin??

I use Valvoline.

Penzoil is parafin based, I don't recomend it.
