Thanks guys it is def a project. It will be all taken apart and put together right. My 5 year old son has claimed the camaro as his, and heeps asking when we can start working on it. I think he is going to follow in dads foot steps lol. I wish it was a complete car to start with but I will figure everything out with the help of the forum. Thanks in advance.

Ok so I worked out a deal and got rid of my 1978 camaro that I had tore all apart to start restoring it. I ended up with a 1972 Camaro that is already a basket case but I wanted a early 2nd gen more than the 78. I got it home and in the garage and kind of sorted out what I have. I did make it to a local swap meet a week or two ago and picked up some parts that I knew it needed. The car has been mine for about a month but things were not working out to get it home. I already have new floor boards both sides, Front bumper, big block headers, brand new back window, new black non-ac dash pad, and a good start on the 4 speed parts. The Car has had new rear quarters put on both sides and a new rear tail panel. I have a set of old rally wheels I am going to put on it. Also planning on putting my 454 with a 4 speed. I know the car needs some work on the rear frame rails, a little work on the steel dash part. but I have a good friend that has a fabrication shop that I can use to make all the stuff it needs. Enough with the words Ill show you guys some pictures. This will be a slow road to recovery for this early 2nd gen.

78 Junker – Congratulations on your new purchase. It sounds like your ’72 is well on its way and a nice project! How are you going to build it? Stock, Hot Rod, Street-Strip, Pro-Touring?
