Default exhaust cutoffs

anyone know where i can get a set for cheap or at least a low price

running a 454 i still have to choose headers and mufflers

jegs or summit. if you want electric cut offs, you aren't going to find them cheap.

Cheap all day at either of those. Electric sounds like a good idea but I don't have much faith in a motor that lives on an exhaust system. Heat soak just like a starter motor. Also how well would it seal after a few times open and close. Carbon dust would build up on the surfaces. I just think it would sound like a leaky collector gasket after a while. The style Vall has on the Austin seem more reliable. Just three thumb screws and a headache away from open headers.

It's cheaper and easier to just buy an extra collector and have it cut into the system when they do your exhaust. I got a pair of collectors for $10 and just made blank plates from collector rings welded into the plates, but you can also buy blank plates cheap.
