Default Engine and heads

Hey everyone pulled the car apart today and took the engine out took about 5 hours to fully disassemble the entire front and pull it out. I had some questions. My block number is 3970010 and the head number is 333881 anyone know what year and horsepower this baby has. Done some research but cant find a definite answer. The block is orange so I know it's a pre 78 and it's not a spray job defiantly factory

That block casting was used for the 1969 302, as well as many different 350 variations from 1969-1980.
Those are 350 heads, 1971-76 vintage, and could have either 2.02/1.6, or 1.72/1.5 valves.
To find out more about the block's origin, find the suffix code that's stamped in front of the passenger side head, and look it up here:

Hahaha we had to run to the store to get beer, oil dry, and bolts for the stand so that was about 45 minutes and we took our time no rush. Also very humid yesterday in nj here. I'm very excited to get started on the rebuild... For the dirty engine bay... Any tips of how to clean for paint?

Wire brush, wipe it with thinner, then a good degreaser. Unless you want to start from bare metal, then have it sandblasted if that's the goal.
