Here is my son's 71 Camaro we purchased for him about a month ago. We paid $300 for the car w/out the drive train it's in pretty decent shape no major rust or damage. the pics arefrom the night we brought it home while it was still on the trailer, so far we have removed the front clip and are starting work on the brakes exaustand suspension.

RE: Don's 71 project
One that's cheap? Cheap is relative. I know some people that would consider 3- 4 thousand cheap for a new engine. How much are you looking to spend? Do you just want it up and running or do you want some power behind it? If you want power, how much power? Remember, this is a heavy car that will take a good engine and gas to push it.
Here's one from a Chevy dealership here in Raleigh for 1600. 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty. If I remember correctly it's a 240 hp engine.
290 HP with 2 year, 50k mile warranty for 1900. Same people.
