So Im in the process of gathering funds to restore my 74 camaro with the big stirpes D88 option, its a slow process but will be well worth it. My question actually has nothing to do with my own car but my friends 4th gen camaro. He loves the stripes on the 74's and is was thinking about putting them on his camaro? Do you guys think that would look good or what? I think hes crazy

 

See if you can find someone to photoshop it. It may not look bad.

 

That would be cool, i dont have photoshop, but he has a red 2000 z28, maybe it would look cool he seems to think so

I have photoshop pro. The problem is you need to be a pro to use it.

 

I personally wouldn't do it. I was thinking about putting those D88 stripes on my '74 but they're too loud for my liking. It prolly would look better on a 4gen.

 

I'm more into subtle when it comes to paint. I keep my cars too long, and eventually paint jobs will become dated if they're too wild our out there. I'd say if he does decide to do it the stripes shouldn't be too contrasting to the white car. That would eliminate black or red from it, and probably leave a light silver color, or something ghosted in maybe.
