Default Dashboard speakers

Since I've had my car the dash speaker has never been connected, so I thought I would connect it and see what happens.
From looking underneath the dash I can see its a Boschmann MB-42XT, is this original or aftermarket?.
There was just two speaker wires hanging down, which I have now connected to my amp in the boot. It seems that the passenger side speaker is working as , I can see it flexing with the base. But can't see anything on the drivers side!.
Should there be another set of connections for the drivers side speaker or is one for voice and one for base?.

Thanks from luke

If you have an aftermarket stereo, then you'll have to trace out the speaker wiring to see if the wires are continuous, and not shorted at any point. Any aftermarket installation could easily have made mistakes on installation, so hard to say if it would be a speaker, or install issue.

Is the speaker stated above original or aftermarket?

Plus how easy is it to get to the speaker in the dash?

Thanks from luke

There was a stock speaker there, but without seeing yours I can't tell you if you still have the stock one, or a replacement. I would guess if you have an aftermarket CD player that they just cut the stock speaker loose, as they most likely added a pair somewhere to replace it. If the stock center dash speaker was connected, it would have to be to either right or left speaker, and would be out of balance.
The stock dash speaker location isn't fun to get to. If you are using a stereo I'd abandon it, and use a pair of speakers, and forget that one.
