Dash Pad Replacement
For those of you who have done a dash pad replacement, I have a question. I got my OER dash pad yesterday, and in the instruction sheet that came with it, it states to take off Dash Pad and Lower Plastics all in one peice. Is this the way you did it or can the lower plastic come off first? Which is eaiser?

I've only done early 2nd Gens, and on those we pulled the dash gauge cluster, then glovebox, and then the pad. Both of those are in the way to even get to the pad bolts, so need to come out for easier clearance.

This is the full OER replacement dash pad not the gauge cluster. Here is where I got it.
www.mattsclassicbowties.com They were cheaper on price and shipping was only $27. One of the other places wanted as much as $100 for shipping. And I saw some places wanted to ship it truck freight. It came FedX.
When looking for something on line I not only compare price but also shipping charges, even on ebay there can be a big difference. I found an item the other day and after you added in there shipping, they ended up being more than F body warehouse, whos shipping is free. Seems like some places try to make things up on shipping.
