crossmember needed....

Default crossmember needed....

got a 78 camaro and looking to put in a 2004r or 700r4. but cant find a crossmember for this. I also do not have the original crossmember for adapters.

any help appreciated..

simple fix,find the crossmember that came out of the car and move it to make it fit and re-drill the frame and there you go.i done it with a 400 turbo and it was as simple as that.you can find the camaro crossmember for little or nothing at the salvage yard.

thanks for the help... the problem with the original one however is that it only has a singl hump in it for exhaust... most after market ones have double hump for dual exhaust... but just finding one for right tranny... also on a camaro being a sub frame i dont have all that far to go back i dont think...

i had to go back aprox. 4" to get the 400 turbo in there.i have dual exhaust on mine with the original cross member.the mufflers were a tight fit but we got them in there.a super 40 would not fit,it was to thick.a regular 40 was a little thinner and fit right in
