Some of you have seen other posts of mine. I was done racing for the year until I could get some suspension mods done. Well the opportunity came up to go back home for the weekend, so I decided to drive the camaro down to run at my local track (us43) over 250 miles away. I would get over 500 miles with her yay... Drove down thurs went to track sat. Ended up not having race fuel there (well it was brought by distributor, but I got in on time trials bc there was a race I had no business in..lol like 4.0 sec so not when I started). Had to run 93 ethanol gas. Ended up driving my best time ever of 7.59 1/8 with a 1.77 60' on street tread. Took me a few passes to get it down. Completely blew tires off first pass, but got quicker every pass....maybe shoulda made a few more huh. I think I did alright to be just relearning drag racing this year and working with a stock car except motor. I knew I'd have to drive, but was shocked to pull a 1.7 60' on those. Made the 250 miles back with no problems at all. Wish I could get the other 50 or so hp down. Had a blast. Anyone recognize this track? Hint copo to go.
