RE: corvette aluminum rims on a 68
not the best lookign rim on a Camaro but different strokes for different folks.
your problem is going to be the offset in the front. they will stick out too much and besides that, that rim in an 8" version (which I believe they are) will not let you get a full lock to lock of the steering wheel. on the front of your car, you are pretty much limited to a 7" wide rim in the 15" variety with about a 225 series tire. when you go to an 8" wide rim, you need to step up to later model cars offsets in a 16" rim

you can still go 15" with no problem. 15x7 front and 15x8 rear
a 14x7 in the rear is going to limit you to around a tire with about a 225 aspect ratio. if you start going more than that, the tire with grow too tall and not be a good handling tire
with 15x7 seven, up front, you can go 225 without problems (I have fit 235s with no problem before). in the rear with a 15x8 you can go 245 safely without problems (I have gone 255 here with no problems)

I have 15x7 front and 15x8 rear on My '69 427 Camaro w 215-70x15 front and 275-60x15 rear without any clearance issues. Oh, I'm using Rally Wheels ( forgot that ). Like Everybody said, Check the offset.

I just tried giving his safe tire sizes. you can always go bigger but those sizes will usually work no matter how the suspension is set up

No cutting or rolling, Stock suspension with multileaf springs no air shocks or anything. I had to use a pretty tall tire ( 28" ) because it has factory 4.10 gears and is 3000 RPM at 60 MPH with these. Anything smaller and the RPM would go nuts. It clears pretty well with no problems. Come to think of it, those might be 15x7 rims on the back. I put them on 22 years ago and don't remember.
