i would be lost without you guys lol...... anyways i have 2 1980 camaros one a berlinetta(junk floors frame ect..) i got a cali car to redo its just a regular camaro BUT in the regular camaro under the center counsel there is a computer looking thing..... the other camaro does'nt have this....what the hell is it?

That would be the "brain box" for the ignition. Are both cars in running condition, with a computer controlled distributor?

the berlinetta was in running condition i drove it all summer(no computer looking thing in it) and the regular camaro is not driveable i just got the shell of it cuz the berlinetta is junk bodywise

 

Take a look under the dash, passenger side. Maybe it's there.

 

nope i just looked the only "computer" looking thing under the dash is the radio.... thanks for helpin btw

 

Take a look at the distributor. See if there is a Vacuum advance or 4 wire connector coming out of it. Sounds like a California Car.

 

wow you are good......lol(not being a smarta$$ either) it is a california car what does that mean then? and yeah about that distributor lol it doesnt have a motor nor did it come with one
