Yes! With the 1.6 rockers you'll definitely need to measure for pushords to ensure the end of the rocker is centered on the valve stem in the middle of it's lift. That's going to invloves a mockup adjustable pushrod, and you need to set it at the correct lash, then crank the engine over while watching the contact to ensure it's not rolling too close to the edge of the valve stem during lift.
Once you have the pushrod adjusted to center on the valve, then you can measure length by first measuring a stock pushrod, and then check the new one to see how much shorter or longer it is. Don't just measure the adjustable because measurements can vary with makers. Measuring both and comparing your readings will get you the correct diffference to order new ones.

Here's a horror story, my heads have been worked so many time that I needed about three different lengths. Not much i could do, I wasn't buying 3 sets of $100 rods. I blame the first guy and the last guy who worked on them the first guy screwed them up and the last didn't fix them like I asked. Didn't assemble the motor for another two years, could go back and say hey then.

Could disassemble and cut all the valve stem height, but I'd rather use different length pushrods too. Some places will sell them individually, so a guy can get whatever he needs. I think Summit lists them as sets, but also per rod too.

Thanks everyone for your truely valuable input, I do feel way more confident going through with this build now than before. Not to mention;;;; learning a hell of a lot. Thanks again.

My problem is the valves are sunk. Some have been repaired three times. They were all swapped to Ferrea after the second dropped valve incident. I noticed they were at different heights when I had the last damage fixed. I requested they all be matched to keep compression the same cylinder to cylinder. Wasn't even thinking about pushrods really. They replaced the bent valves and fixed all the damage but I wasn't sure what I was going to put them on so I never had springs installed, I also had the tip of one of the inner springs that were on there broken. While building my current motor I noticed how bad the valves really were when I started to measure for pushrods.

You've definitely got a "unique" situation Damon. One of those things that we often run into with rebuilt or used parts on our hotrods, and often not something I'd be checking when making a purchase of rebuilt heads.
As you've found out it's not insurmountable, but it's definitely frustrating and taking up your time and money to get it corrected.

Hey Pablo63, I just posted some pictures of my '81 Z and my '75 Vega. In the Album section. I will get more photos over the winter.

I'm just going to roll with it. The pattern wasn't super bad, just not right. Its just one of those things. I can't think of any engine that I've put together that everything was dead nuts. Some day I will pay someone to do that kind of blueprinting for me. Funny thing is people expect me to say its " balanced and blueprinted" but I stop at balanced.
