Default Classic Car Insurance (Cheap)

Anyone looking for insurance for their classics? Hagerty.com is a good company. I just got $15000 coverage on my '79 Z28 for $302 a year. Checkem' out, may be worthwhile. Its not gonna cost anything to look.

American Collectors Insurance $128/year $16,500 coverage. But the way car prices are I'll probably have to up the coverage. The last 1970 Camaro I saw sell on eBay for $25K....without the orginal motor!! And not much documentation. [:-]

Hello,
I'm new here. Just picked up an 81 Z with 18000 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone knew a classic car insurance company that will accept young drivers (19)? I have insurance on another car through American Collectors but they require all drivers to be 25 and my son (19) is actually buying the car from me so it's really his car. Right now, all we have is regular insurance on it. That scares me because I know we won't get anywhere near what's worth if something were to happen to it.
By the way, it's not going to be his daily driver. It is and will be garaged and taken care of.
Thanks,
Randy

I know for a fact that if the company doesnt require the driver to be 25, he has to have at least 5or 6yearsof driving experience. I don't know of any place that would take on a 19 year old. I'm not saying there isn't but I've never seen one.

I couldn't get anyone to insure my 73 because my daily driver was older than it.That madeno sense to me at the time....well it still doesnt but whatever. I finally got it taken care of. It was horrible not being able to drive it.

Hey,

Have all my insurance through AAA for past 12 years. They've always been great and they do DMV services. Got $34K declared value on my 71 Z28 for $207 a year. Pretty happy about that.
