alright so one of my buddies was tellin me he knows a guy who was gettin rid of a camaro, so tell him to go on. He tells me that the guy is sick of havin it and is just wanting to get rid of it. I guess the story behind this camaro is the guy put a 350 twin turbo small block motor in it with a 400 transmission blew out the rear end and then took the tranny and motor out and started to strip the car. Hes kindof a truck guy so you know how it goes. Anyway, i guess hes sellin the chassis with NO RUST on the body or frame. Just sellin the shell, no seats, no engine, no drivetrain, not sure if it has an exhaust or not. However... the guy was 70 dollars for it. 70! im going down to check it out tommorow, and it also needs to be primered and painted. The kid didnt know what year it was he said its the one with the bigger head lights then the smaller headlights, im thinkin 73-sh? anyway, the most beautiful part about it is that car in my state doesnt have to pass emissions! im thinkin im gonna get it, try to find a used 383 stroker, or hell even a 350, completely rebuild the engine, try to find a 4 speed for it, and 4.10 posi rear end, hooker headers, 3" flowmaster exhaust holley 6 pack carb, a cowl and im not sure what i wanna do with the paint. Thought id share this with you guys, if i anyone wants to give suggestions, opinions or anythin itd be apreciated
It sounds real cheap and ya never know it could be a deal. Just make sure it is straight as in frame damage. I looked at a Challenger years ago it was a 1970 model they wanted $1200 for it I just had a bad feeling about it and passed on it a few years later my brother in law was joking around and was telling me about a wrecked challanger that they had him weld together from two car halfs ..that was the car
. On the other hand my brother bought a 944 turbo for $2500 because the guy thought the clutch was bad he just adjusted it and it was fine. So ya never know just be cautious and look it over the best you can if it had a mean engine in it and no frame connectors and rollcage to tie it together I would look at the body gaps windshield cracks and even the fender getting pushed into the window piller these cars will flex to the point of expensive return if not strengthend.
