Default car isn't turning over or anything..HELP!

i just got my car back from the shop after getting a tune up and having an MSD billet HEI dist. put in. when i got it home and turned it off, and then later i tried turning it on, it didnt do anything, no turning over at all! do you think the battery cable might be loose or something?

I also have a vaccum leak in the intake manifold...

Tighten up all the battery cable connections and see if that does anything.

The battery could possibly be bad too

when i turn the key, i hear a click but thats from turning the key. the lights or wipers dont work either. and when i turn the car to on, the batter gauge doesn't move. do you think the battery is dead then?

check the connections down by the starter motor. alot of things get fed off of that. via your ignition system and other things tied to the ignition system. just a thought

i had my car battery checked out at wal mart after i had it jumped and they said it was good. but i need a new positive cable and i need to ground it to the frame. the guy said to test if its the alternator by idling the car and then taking off the negative cable and if it dies, then its the alternator. i think thats what he said lol. does that sound like it would be right?

Its not the best test but he is right the car should keep running. Do you have a volt meter?
