Can you identify Z28 Decal?
I'm new to this forum. My son And I have purchased a 1979 Z28 that we plan on working on together. It needs minor body work, paint, and new interior. My question is about the decals on this car. They don't look like the 1979 decals I see on other cars or the ones I find in the catalogs. I wander if anyone can identify these for me? The decals I have seen are 2 color with the Z28 on the stripe in one of the colors. You'll notice on ours the stripe is 2 colors of blue and the Z28 is yellow and is at the end of the stripe not on it.
Thanks,
Dan

On closer inspection the stripes and Z28 are painted on. The Z28 isn't yellow either it is actually light orange at top and fades to dark orange on a black outline. Someone probably has repainted this car at sometime and added these graphics. Has anyone seen this graphic before?

I thought there would be at least a couple of people on this forum that knows everything there is to know about Camaros. LOL But seriously I would like to know if there is anything significant about this graphic or if it was just some custom paint job. Is there a better place I should post this question?

This section is fine for this question. You must have caught us on a slow week, sorry. Back to the car, as far as I can tell its a custom paint job exclusive to your car. The air dams indicate its a true Z. I have never seen that type of decal before, but then again I am not an expert on the 2nd gens, I am going to say its not origional.

Thanks for the response. I know it really is a Z28 because I have the build sheet. I was thinking it was just a custom paint job but I wanted to make sure there wasn't something special about the graphics before we repaint it. I want to put the original decal on it when we do it. Thanks again.
