Default Can I get some help deciphering the cowl tag and vin?

I have a picture of the tag and waiting on the vin.
So far I know the interior and exterior colors, and its a 2 door v8 car. Is it a base model? anything else it tells me?

You have a 1971, and engine package info wasn't part of the VIN until 72. The VIN will only tell you if it's a V8 or 6 cyl. car.
Here's some info to help you decipher the trim tag: http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...ecode-1971.asp

My 69's cowl tag ( and all other 1st gens) are on the fire wall, drivers side, near the power brake booster... Yours might be near that area as well, I dont know for sure.

EDIT: thats doesnt help much does it, you posted a pic... therefore you already know where the cowl tag is... duhh.... the RPO info was printed (stamped) onto the cowl tag pictured.... well, not all of it.... there are more things written elsewhere... unfortunately those opther places are paper and most likely gone... most people will look for the 'broadcast' sheet, or build sheet... it might be behind your rear seat, on top of your gas tank... taped to the top inside of your glove box... or other rumored places. This sheet will have ALL of the options (rpo's) your car came with from the factory.
