Hi im trying to choose between a 1973 camaro z28 with a rebuilt engine, or a 1972 pontiac le mans with a rebuilt1972 hurst/olds 350 in it. They are priced about the same but the camaro is painted and the le mans isn't. They are both 4 speeds and have similar work done to them like exhaust ect.but i just dont know what one to get. I know this is a camaro forum and most of you will pick the camaro but it would be cool if you would give your honest opinion on which would be better when it comes to performance. I know i dont have specifics sorry but anyopinion would help.

the camaro has more performance parts and a lot of body parts. And will handle better. The olds 350 is a great engine, but your pretty much limited to an after marcket intake, and some internal stuff. I would take the Camaro, but the only way to tellis to drive them, and see what you like more.

 

agreed, the lemans has prolly another 3-5 grand worht of paint and body before its done, and the camaro will handle, drive better. it looks great too

 

I would take the camaro cause the body is slicker looking and has style. but thas my opinion

The guy should of know that he would all responses to his question that it would be camaro.

 

Now why would we pick a camaro over...say ..anything else???.... So are you comin back to let us know? If you chose the le mans..you can come to my site.....if you go camaro..then post away here....

 

I've owned a Le Mans and a Camaro...

The Camaro wins this decision hands down...because 1. Paint is good, that will save you lots 2. Engine looks fresh, lemans looks a little dated. 3. Parts for the Camaro are cheaper/easier to find than for that lemans 4. Chevy sbc parts > olds sbc parts $$$ and availability
