ya, you said clutch so the tranny is the super t-10? if so, theres 400 right there, in the car its not worth much. part it out. posi rear? another 150 right there, fenders 100 maybe, there may be some local guys looking for the top, you can cut that off and sell it, scrap metal 200-250 there too.

I have $2500 in the car itself. An yea the car is worth $2500 easy it would be real easy to get it on the road. The car looks bad cause it was put in primer an some of the parts were taken off to primer it & all the parts are there. An $2500 in the car $1200 for the Berlinetta & Z28 parts car $400 trans $100 engine $200 towing an the rest was body work. An no I just want the car gone to get the Mustang in the building. Yea I don't know were you guys get your figures from but round here what I have in it is right on the money for these cars. Yea the Berlinetta is worth less than the Z28 but price I have on it is in the range for this car.

Where are you?
Can I take my car there and sell it for like 12k?

Sorry, here in Denver that is a $500 car. More if parted, but $500
the way it sits. I look at a lot of Camaro's. If I found the right
shell for the right price I would buy it just for the logo's assuming
it had them.

There is a 79 Berlinteta, down the street from me. Faded blue
paint, complete car, little to no rust. Complete un-touched motor.
still has A/C and air cleaner cover. They are asking $2400. It runs
and drives.

The car has been for sale for over a year. No takers. Seems the price is to high for a non Z28.

There is a 77 Z28 faded brown. This car is 100% original. Not a
spot of rust. Interior is complete but wore out. Odometer shows
109k. Owner says it is original. This car is freaking 100% all
there. Even has my emblems. Needs freshened up, but he is only
asking $5k and that is at a dealer ship.

I would love to own that brown one as a starting place, but I
don't have the heart to cut up a car that original to make a dragster.

I wish you the best of luck. If you find a buyer send them over
here. They will need our help if they pay $2500 for that car.

I think I need to buy them here and take them to WV, cause I couldn't get more than $500 for that around Oregon/Wa. area. Saw a much nicer and more complete '71 at the swap meet yesterday asking $1500, and could have bought it for $1000.
If they go $2500 in WV you should put it on Craigslist and sell it whole to move it faster and make room for the Mustang.

This one's been listed many times for $1000 and no takers:

Same thing on this Z28, no takers at $2,000:

You should have no problem selling that car for $2500 to recoup your losses then if you feel that you are asking a fair price for it. Buying a car for $1200, replacing the transmission, dumping a $100 motor in it does not make it a $2500 dollar car. And expecting to recoup towing costs onto the next buyer... You don't really get the car restoration thing I think. You generally don't make a ton of money doing this stuff.

I would have bought it but the old lady would kill me cause i just bought a 80 Z28 t-top for $600.
