the background is-i wanna put wheel spoiler flares in front of the rear tires of my 74 camaro. there's some pictures of my camaroin mikemaccham's camaro pic thread. if you take a look, you'll notice that the rear chrome trimming after the doorsare missing (and i would imagine it would be near impossible to find replacement trimming), and it happens to be the same spot where wheel flares would be installed, so mymotive is to cover it up with those flares. only problem is those flares appear to be meant for the later 78-81 camaros, which also has a distinct front spoiler compared to the 74-77 models. there's a picture of Maximorpheus's camaro in the same mentioned thread that shows the whole spoiler kit.


since that 78-81 front spoiler matches the flares more than the 74 front spoiler, my main question is- would the 78-81 front spoiler/flare kit fit on a 74 model? i would imagine that it should fit, since the main body differences onlylie within the bumper/tailights, plus if i'm not mistaken, the 76 bumblebee camaro from Transformers had what looked to be a 78-81 front spoiler.

i justwanna be 100% confidentbefore i end up buying something that might possibly not fit lol.

 

Funny you should mention this...I jus posted a thread on fender flares for my 81...I see you point on the differences bein morely the cosmetics like the bumper an lights. Im sure that you know the 79 or 78 to 81 are mostly interchangable...On your point I cant see why they wouldnt fit...I might think that some body work would prolly be the most you would have to do if any at all...
