Camaro drift
Hey guys not sure if this is the right place but i sure hope it is haha but i was wondering if anyone has ever tryed to make a 2nd gen camaro into a drift car i think it would be sick and one of a kind team falken tires made a 1969 camaro into a drift car. Im basicly wondering has it been done before? And would you think it would be a good idea if i have the time and money? how would i loose wieght? My brother drifts his 240sx in competitions and i go and watch and ive never seen a camaro ive seen some 3rd and 4th gen camaros though thanks goodbye
You would have to get rid of allot of weight, these 2nd gens are heavy pigs lol. New suspension, more alluminum, removing inner fenders, fuel cell, carbon fiber or fiberglass panels, hoods, trunk lid the list would go on and on. I think it would be just best to buy a lighter car for drifting, but it if you wanted to do it it can be done.
Yah its alota fun in person too haha! i cant decide cuz i dont wanna start stripin her down until i am fully decided. it would take alota time and money to make it but do you guys think it would be worth it when im done?
Here's your answer, and yes it appears to be extremely competitive.

Do a search for "drift" over at Nasty and his car will come up. It's also got links there to pics of him at Euro drift competitions.
