Default Bulkhead Connector

I found a shop that I'll be taking the Camaro to next week for help figuring out the undercharging problem. I was looking at the wiring again today and I'm thinking that I'd like to pull the bulkhead connector and get some of the old, cut wires for the temp/oil gauges, exciter wire, washer pump etc. out of the connector so they're not just hanging there anymore. Can I pull the connector via the one bolt in the center of it and do this? Many of the wires are cut a few inches from the connector and I see more of a potential problem leaving them there and I want to clean that stuff up.

Yes but mie was covered in udercoating and gunk. It took some wrestling to get it out.

Yes, they're almost glued in with the stuff the factory and dealers spray around the plug. Might take some wrestling to remove it once the single screw is out. There are release clips on each pin to allow them to be removed and they take a thin screwdriver or blade to slip in and push the catch down.

Thanks Damon and Vall, mine is also covered in undercoating. I fully expect it to be a bear to get out but I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to do anything inside by the fuse panel to get the connector out. Appreciate it!
