Default Barry Grant speed demon 650cfm carb

I am thinking about getting one for my 71', however I am unsure of the specs on the cam it has. I was told it is a solid lift cam but I know nothing more than that. It idles pretty lumpy but not too bad.....about the same as my 70' that had a comp cams extreme energy 268 cam in it so I am thinking the carb I had on the last one will work good on the 71' I now have. Anyone know if the speed demon I am asking about has the capability's to feed a stronger motor? I don't want to waste my money on a carb that can't keep up. Thanks

It should be fine. I have a 750 on my stroker and a 600 on my almost stock pick up.

Prior to BG going out of business I would have warned you away from them, as their service stunk. But since they've been bought by Holley, and have their service backing them, I'd say it will be fine now.

I didn't know Holley was behind BG. Have you seen there new carb that looks like a Carter/Edelbrock? Its supposed to work with spread bore and square bore intakes.

No, haven't seen that one. When BG filed bankruptcy Holley purchased them. They are now a full part of Holley's lineup.

It has the look BG did to the Holley syle. Rounded curves and all except... well here look.

It got some weird features. The secondaries are blended into one. The boosers are what they call a double stack. Which is exactly what it sounds like.
