Default auto to manual need help

I've got a 67 camaro 327 auto wondering what the expense and how much of a project will i get into with trying to convert my auto to manual like the muncie 4 speed. This is my first project and picked the car up pretty cheap and would like to convert it seeing as how its not a #s matching. So anyone got any tips on costs and headache?

Well if this is your first attempt on doing something major like this you're going to have a hella lot of fun. You gotta get a trans, clutchkit, bell housing, clutch fork, pedal assembly, and cable. Then you have to cut the tunnel in your car to make way for the shifter, get a different console or just take it out completely. It's going to be rather expensive. For those who like to go to the junk yards and get used dookie, I perfer getting them in kits. I lost the website where I'd aim you towards, but here is a link for some extra insight.

Thanks for the website but i believe i would much rather stick with the 4 speed instead of upgrading to a 5speed i think theres more fun in a 4 maybe just me though

Well the factory consoles are different for autos and manuals. The automatic just uses a cable that goes through a grommet in the tunnel to shift things.

Well good luck finding one first, but you still need all the things to make it work.
