How much 'nothing' do you know? Are you taking on a job knowing nothing or do you know something? If you truly know nothing I reccomend having someone elso do it for you. Otherwise Try a shop that has them made like keisler.com they have them and fairly simple to do. When someone says they know nothing about cars either 1. they know nothing about this specific car or 2. they really know nothing and have no tools to do a job they are asking about. I just went on a rant wave....sorry.

Keisler makes one, about 3 grand, has all the stuff you would need. You can also find a bunch of adds in any hot rod (not a plug!!!) type magazine.

Have you decided on the 5 speed you want to use? Thats the first big question to ask.

Do some searchs on the net and read. Become educated on what your options are.
You need to decide what you are going to do with the car. This will help you decide which tranny to use. Decide how much torque and HP you want to run.

Tryhttp://www.5speedtransmissions.com/they have some good info on 5 speeds for the camaro. They have complete lists of the stuff you need.

other sites
http://www.keislerauto.com/
http://www.classicchevy5speed.com/
http://www.ddperformance.com/t5_5_sp...nsmissions.htm

Iused the tremec as I needed something that could handle the torque.

The important thing is to match your intended use with the correct transmission.

Hope this helps

Greg

Ok,were gona need some picks of this, and with 800hp youll need a whole different trans to handle that load, and good luck gettin that out of a 350. Try shootin for 350 Hp and a good 4 speed.
