Anyone else have a base sport coupe?
Yeah that is a steal at $2500! That's pretty much what i got mine for and when i was thinking about selling it a got several hits on it at $6000 and the only thing that has been done is a fresh paint job. Other than that the interior needs a lot of work, needs completely new wiring hardness cuz the previous owner did a very shotty job... Also the exhaust is worthless... What made you sell the 81 to paint the 80 and not visa versa?
just needed it gone before the snow) and i got rid of 2 parts cars which were actually saved from being hacked up by me and are now someone elses projects and i sold a couple engines i had. I figured once the 78 is done (prob another 10 yrs lol) i will go for a 70-73 style camaro to completely rebuild.

i also have an 80 sport coupe, originally came with 229 v6,i bought this car as a roller, but the kid had a 350 in it before selling it.paid 300 bucks for it.wasnt taken very good care of but im fixing that, gonna make it all new again.now i have a 436sbc thats going in it,with 400 turbo tranny.
I have a copy of the factory invoice on mine and it says sport coupe. But mine came with some options. such as rear spoiler, ralley wheels, LH and RH sport mirrors, and a couple of other things , all that were an extra charge by the factory.
I bought a sport coup brand new back in 1977. It also had a few options. AC, 350, mirrors, AM/FM, TH350, no spoiler or gauges. The one thing I liked was the bump shifter. My current 77 doesn't have one but will be replacing the factory shifter with a B&M Megashifter. That 77 sport coup was a really nice car.
