any ideas for my project 78?

Every other rice rocket I see has carbon fiber on it. I'm so sick of carbon fiber I want to puke. Wouldn't put it on a US made muscle car if they gave it to me. Well, maybe if they gave it to me painted.

I almost totally agree with you but when I saw the L-88 hood carbon'd up I thought it was pretty friggin' sweet. Plus a guy I know did a 2009 Mustang's CF hood righteously:
I really liked how they did the stripes as the carbon fiber.

well my car isnt tubed and it runs 9s with the nos it has been at the detroit auto rama, and i cant even get another race car to run me on the street why waste your money and i will tell you first off i have over 50,000 in my car how it looks dont make it go faster i saw a stock duster with a willie bar and i was jocking about it all the way home and if you tube it you better have one hell of a motor to spin thoughs big *** wheels
i was thinking about a full tub, but then i think about it and maybe i dont wanna do that, i dont wanna run a full blown fat tire in the back, more of a wider drag radial with a skinny or skinnier tire in the front. im also not really into the nos idea, i like the whole idea of a big NA powered beast without a helper, altho having someone look into the back and see two blue bottles sitting there kinda make them change their mind

With the right offset you can get MT M-50's under the rear without tubbing it. No need for NOS, if you've got enough motor, unless you just want to really blow the doors off those rice rockets?
Why not hide the NOS anyway, I thought you wanted to look stock, and NOT scare the rice cars off?

true i could run a top shot kit with a couple sneaky pete bottles, or just put two 10lbs in the trunk area so no one sees it.
as for the carbon fiber i like it, its strong and light weight almost as light as fiberglass if not lighter, im going black with the car, so carbon fiber would fit in rather good, it is true that fiber is more of a ricer thing but i like the looks and strength of it, more of a personal preference i guess
i might go with the fuel cell under where the original gas tank was, idk if it would fit in the trunk unless i did some modding. who knows
motor wise im going 454, big cam, intake, carb, ignition, pretty much the norm performance mods.
