stock rear end in 80 rs...... lookin to put 3.73 gears in it. is this what i need? do i need anything else? a tranny shop will do the work for me. any other suggestions?

Did you have a chance to count the splines on the pinion you have now? If itsa 30, you should be good to go with the set youpicked out.

Id still suggest youget a master bearing w/seals set, If you are going to pay a shop to do the work, they should have suggested that anyway, and be sure to have them inspect the axles for unusual wear and/or rust.Also, make sure you get a new crush sleeve withany kit that you buy..
