Default After Market Windshield Trim???

I just got my 81 Z28 painted and I went to re-install the windshield and rear window trim today. Even after I repainted the trim, (black on an 81Z),.it still looks edgy next to the shiny new paint on the car. I am considering ordering a new set of windshield and rear window trim. Has anyone had any experiene with the after market trim?

If I were doing it I'd take my trim to a shop and have it powder coated or ceramic coated. Replacement trim is lighter weight, and often inferior. But then so are most the replacement body parts.

I blasted the ones on my 78 and painted with duplicolor trim black. Still looks good. Been at least five years outside.
