81 z28 headers

Default 81 z28 headers

whats anyones advice on a resonable set of headers on a 81 z28 4speed car using the factory a/c thats not trouble with always blowing header gaskets? hooker? headman? just got off jegs they got hooker and headman for like $ 160 a set just putting a mild 406 in this car, and for sure dont need any super comps big tube or anything,

Headers gaskets are tricky, but if you keep tightening them after a few heat cycles there fine. I also use a 12 point bolt with a 3/8 head. It helps getting in the tight spots. I have had elcheapos all the way to ceramic coated Hooker Super Comps. Right now i have Hedmans and think the fit is about as good as it gets.
