well your tach goes back to your distributer if it is stock. is it a factory of aftermarket??? if it is stock go to your distributer and check all connections and grounds and what not.

Common Problem. Probably either the tach itself or the printed circuit board.

Mine has the same problem! I have an MSD box which I know nothing about, does that change anything? Should we just replace the tach or is there any fixing it?

Sorry for the slight hijack!

I've had that problem before. You can get a printed circuit board from NPD for 70 some bucks. It's typically that and not the tach itself.

new circuit did not fix the problem (needed one anyway) so i will just plan on a new tach.
