Default 79 goin to 70

New to the board - just signed up the other day.
Bought a 1979 shell locally a few weeks back. Was goin to restore it to a 1979 style but decided to be different.
Right now im in the proccess of swapping out and installing the rear qaurters off of a 1970 onto it. From there I will go to the front end and install the 70 core support and front end. Goion to go all out and install the trunk pan and panels from a 70 as well.
Just wondered if anyone has done this kinda thing before.
Should hopefully have some pics to go along with this deal here soon - incase anyone was wondering how to do it. And that it is capable of being done.
Most of the parts or OER repops from Classic industries or Goodmark.
Chime in and let me know what you guys think

I have a 74 and want to do the same thing, Doesn't need any body work but would like to get rid of those ugly bumpers. Let us know how it goes.

sounds like you have one hell of a project. how are you doing your rear quarters? your whole back glass and rear cowl area is different. if you weren't already doing it, I would have said it can't be done.

post some picks once you get there with it. I am totally curious

Heck, if it's just a shell, why not try to find a 71-73 body and do it. It'd be a darned sight cheaper and easier.
