I have a 79 z28 and was recently looking around on ebay at other camaros for ideas. I came across a 77 a man had that had switched the front clip to a 70-73 model. After doing some research in parts magazines I'm wondering if this switch would be possible with my 79. Most catalogs are showing 70-77 front body parts but 78-79 are showing diff? I know the hoods from 70-81 are the same but was curious about anyother differences between 77 and 79? Any help?

 

70-73 is different than 74-77 and then they did the different front end in 78-81 with the "breathers"? in the fenders. 70-74 were basicly the same body but then 75 and up went with the full wrap around back window.

You can put the whole fenders and nose on your 79 cause it will fit but then it just has the diff back window and tail pan. But the front clip will bolt right on

 

Thanks man I'm new with these camaros and simply came across a good deal on this 79. I'm strictly wanting to dragrace this car and was curious if anyone had any ideas for a fiberglass front clip for a 70 to 73?
