Is skinning a door where you take the outer panel of a door off and weld a new one on? Or something like that? If so, I would but I have never welded and I don't know anyone that has a welder either :/

And yea the doors are heavy, thats why I was thinking about the fiberglass option, wasn't thinking about the safety factor though.

You need to check your local Craigslist! Here's a guy who's got 1979 Camaro doors for $75 ea. not far from you!

Thanks a lot man, I assumed that since I didn't see his post again later that he sold it all, just called him and turns out he still has them. He said they are in good shape and except the driver window. Apparently some kids shot it with a bb gun and broke it, but i could always pull the window outta mine and replace it. I'm going to go look at it when it dries up around here because he said its in a field.

Once again thanks a lot!

The doors are a ton. I store an extra set in my basement. One has the panel still on it making it had as hell to grab a hold of. I would suggest lifting it in place with a cherry picker and a ratchet strap.

Motorcycle jack works good too if you have a second pair of hands.

I used my motorcycle jack to remove mine alone. Not looking forward to putting it back on, I'm thinking that I'll need another set of hands. Maybe two more sets.

LOL I've wrestled mine on. Now I gotta pull em off to sand and prime. I still feel bad for when I picked up the 80 the doors were in the rafters of the garage. Skinny little guy blew his back out getting em down. The still had to roll the car on the trailer with no front sub frame.

I rigged up a wooden support that I bolted to my floor jack by pulling the cup off the jack. Still need a second person to jack it as I watched it get close to the hinges, but it sure saved our backs!
Just 2x4's for uprights on either side of a 2x8 base bolted to the jack. Then set the bottom edge of the door on the 2x8 and lean it against the 2x4 upright. I carpetted the edges to protect the door. I put the 2x4's on both sides, so when the door was hung I carefully pulled the jack out towards the latch end.

PS-I sure wouldn't wait on those doors at that price! I'd hate to see them gone and you having to pay several times that for another set!!!!!! I'd get over there and look at them and make him an offer to buy the pair. Like maybe $100 for both, or $125??
