Your blinker thing works both sides of your turn signals, that's why it wasn't that. Have you checked to see if you have any burned out bulbs in your front or rear light assemblies?

you have to fill them back up with headlight fluid before they will stay in.
well, im not sure on camaros but on other cars where i have worked on the lights and blinkers, the blinker system runs through the hazard switch. you said that your hazards dont work at all so it could be your hazard switch that is malfunctioning and not only causing your hazards to not work but also your blinkers. try disconnecting your hazard switch completely and then trying your blinkers. if none of your blinkers come on, then they do run through the hazard switch and i would replace that then go from there. if disconnecting your hazard switch does not effect your blinkers, then there is probably a short or a miswiring.
if they work after you replace your switch, great! if not, there is probably a short or a miswiring. hope this helps.
and there is a spring that holds your headlight in, btw.
