Post 78 Corvette engine swap

I have a chance to put a 78 corvette engine in my camaro. However, i still need to pass smog here in Cali. Will my smog equipment fit on the corvette engine? Its the same years and the cars are both from California so it'll have same smog parts, correct? Thanks ahead of time.

Yep, the blocks and bolt on components are the same. Only difference is the Vette engine will have the short style water pump (if it's still on there). You'll want to use your existing long style pump.

Just wondering what Vette engine and what is in your car now?
The base Vette L48 350 engine in 78 is nothing special if it's stock and the optional L82 is still only rated at 220hp.
If you have a 305 it'll be a nice upgrade or if you have a dead or tired 350 engine and need a new one but if you have a good 350 you might not gain a thing or very little if you do.

Here's the link:

Its a GM Goodwrench 350. I have stock 350 motor. I don't know if it has 245XXX or 145XXX but my engine is tired. I'll probably wont get the corvette motor because I want to fix up the body first. Then, when I have some money I'll get a nice performance engine

So it's really not a quote unquote "Corvette motor" it's a motor out of a Corvette.
Looks to be one of these garden variety Goodwrench 350's.

Your basic 350 you can buy brand new for $1500 ,not a high performance engine.
