74 TypeLT Z-28 w 19,000 miles - in Garage
I've had a car passed down to me. My father purchased a new 1974 Type LT Z-28 and drove it off and on for about three years. After that he parked it and threw a quilt over it. It's literally been under various blankets for the last 30 + years. It's only got 19,000 miles on it.
The car is completely original and still has the bias ply tires mounted. I think two still have air in them. The interior is as it was thirty years ago - still spotless and smells fresh. The exterior is totally original with a couple minor scratches. Other than that it's totally clean - no rust or deterioration.
I'm trying to figure out what the car is worth. Obviously it's a little different and I'm having a hard time finding something to compare it to. I'm thinking it might make a good show car at some point. Are the 2nd gens becoming more popular at the shows?
Any comments might help get a better picture of what people think about these cars.
Thanks,
John

We would need more pics. Looks like there is dent in the door and scuff on the fender. Orignial paint is a big plus unless it needs repainted. The 70-73 2 gens are the most popular. If it was a 73 you would be talking 30-35. A 74 you are pushing 20ish. If it had a 4 speed it would do a little better. Does it have the Z28 stip kit?
More information the better the guess we can give

Yeah, That dent was the result of a careless guy bumping it with a table. (Not good to store cars and furniture in the same place.) The car is a 4 speed with the Black stripes. The car is in California. I'm in maryland. I might have a friend uncover and clean it. Maybe I can get some pics then. Thanks for the info.
