'72 camaro exhaust update

Didn't they start doing the AIR stuff in the later 70's? I know that the 75 model was the first with a catylitic converter.
These are the full length hooker headers that I purchased for my car. They fit with no problem at all.

I also run a set of Thrush glasspacks and it's damn loud in the card. Previous owner installed those long before I got there.

Don't know exactly what year on other brands, but for California cars, GM had air (smog) pumps and injector tubes in the exh. manifolds as early as 1966.

I have a feeling you'll be o.k. with your emissions and the headers with your vehicle's age. Check with your local DMV if you want to be 100% sure on what has to pass inspection for your vehicle's age but I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

I decided to keep the manifolds and buy it the cheapest pipes I could find. I have so much more other stuff to worry about.
Also, I don't want the car to sound so loud and annoying. I know there are ways but I am just too busy right now. I think I will eventually go all out but first I have to get the rest up to standard.
Thank you all for your help.
