Before i buy anything, will this engine fit in this car? If so what kind of transmission do i need. This is my first project car. I just have the engine i am looking for a body to put it in.

 

you can do anything with enough money. why not trade the 440 for a 454.

 

Are we talking Mopar? Or ? I'm not familiar with any 7.2. Anyway the answer is as stated above. If you mean Chrysler that would be alot of work. Like 71BB427s small block Austin. The Austin is probably easier. Then you'll still need to fab an exhaust.

 

small mid 70's c 10 would probably have all the space you would ever need
