I have a 350 auto tranny that just dropped second gear in the pan. Before I start the process of fixing. I was wondering if anybody knew of a different transmission I could buy and have an overdrive gear for highway miles. The car needs to stay automatic because I do let my wife drive the car. Also would love for it to be a simple install, any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

 

A 700R4 will work.You would just need to find the right size tailshaft and im pretty sure you can buy a kit to take the guess work out of it.
