350 vs. 396
Hey guys, I am fairly new and i have couple questions. I have a 70 Camaro RS and i was gunna get a RamJet 350 for it but i have been lookin into the 396 and thinkin of putting the RamJet 502 fuel injection system on it.
First Question, if i did get the 396 and put the fuel injection system on it where could i find the right Electronic Control Modual for it?
And, out of the two engines which would be a better choice to put in my car?

RE: 350 vs. 396
a lot of it depends on what you are going to do with the car really. i mean either way both choices are what you like more. with the big block, most likely your gas mileage will be hurt significantly, although a big block is more badass. a 350 is a cheap way to make a nice street rod, parts are easier to find and cheaper, a more friendly project car engine. all around the big block will cost more. the differences is stock, the big block will make much more torque and horsepower, and have a higher potential also. if your willing to spend more and sacrafice gas mileage, go with the big block. if your jsut making an easy on the wallet machine that gets decent mileage and offers good performance, and spend less on parts, go with the small block. its really an opinion type of question. do what you would rather do really.

a 383 is a 350 with a 400 crank, bored .030 over. a 396 is the smallest big block, but is a big block.
